Pekanbaru, 7 Juli 2023 – PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFI Finance) officially opened a Sharia Business Unit (UUS) branch office in Pekanbaru City, Riau (7/7/2023).
BFI Finance Syariah is a UUS owned by BFI Finance which has officially obtained a permit from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) since 2018. Until now, there have been 45 BFI Finance outlets serving sharia financing, one of which is in Pekanbaru.
Located on Jalan Setiabudhi, Pesisir Village, Lima Puluh District, Pekanbaru City, the opening of the BFI Finance Sharia Unit Branch Office (KCUS) was based on several factors. BFI Finance sees increasing demand and market growth potential in the sharia finance industry, including in the Northern Sumatra (Sumbagut) area where BFI Finance's Pekanbaru Branch is located. In addition, government support and the sharia economic ecosystem are also positive in Pekanbaru.
According to data from Bank Indonesia, the national Islamic financial literacy index only reached 23.3 percent in 2022. Therefore, BFI Finance is closer in its efforts to increase literacy and inclusion while providing Sharia-based financing solutions for the wider community.
