South Tangerang, August 15, 2020 – The era of new normal has changed social order, including family routines. Children must take online classes at home, which require a major role of parents. This measure is definitely necessary for the health and benefits of all involved. However, adapting to the new normal is not an easy practice. PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFI Finance) offered online discussions in Ruang Temu (Meeting Room) program, presenting a psychologist and a childhood education practitioner in order to provide some insights into how to face this new way of life.
Distance learning method has left parents and families feeling unprepared. One of the challenges is that parents must divide their time between working and accompanying children during distance learning. Using Ruang Temu online discussion program, BFI Finance crafted two special episodes related to this topic. In an episode themed “Kids, School, Work”, BFI Finance invited psychologist Hesti Nur Lestari to discuss about how to build a resilient family and the importance of home management.
The other episode is themed “Building Children’s Creativity in New Normal Era”, which presents Astri Levi, the founder and school principal of Playhouse Academy. The topic of this discussion is about how to build children’s creativity with parents and family by making the most of gadgets and simple stuffs available at home. These tips can stimulate children’s creativity and prevent them from getting bored of learning and playing at home continuously.
